Rachel Briggs is an artist living in Goose Creek, SC, who focuses on transformation of materials, primarily mixing with her passion for creating fiber art. She has zero education (three semesters of poor attendance at CofC doesn’t count), but has lifelong experience in creativity and party planning.

She curates art shows every six months (Second Life Supply), and has founded a Charleston-based artist guild called “Mischief Makers” which currently meets at her favorite dive bar, where she also runs a monthly book club. If you run across Briggs Leather Co. on Instagram, she is most likely the person you’re communicating with. She’s a busy woman! Her biggest passions are community building, sustainability, and uplifting the Charleston arts community. Forming a nonprofit is next on her to-do list. She hopes to open a creative reuse retail store in the near future, supplying local artists and crafters with supplies at a pay-what-you-can rate.

Ray Ray, as she prefers to be called, is also a self proclaimed hot dog connoisseur, an avid couch crocheter, and a HUGE Fleetwood Mac fan.
